Health Maintenance experience sharing

ILIB + EECP First Experience

What is the recently popular blood circulation treatment: ILIB  ( Intravenous Laser Irradiation of Blood ) Helium-Neon Laser + EECP  Enhanced External Counterpulsation )

Lately, due to staying up late and occasionally feeling tired and having cold hands and feet, I've started researching treatments to improve circulation and maintain cardiovascular health.

Recently, a friend recommended I try two treatments, both aimed at improving blood circulation and microcirculation, performed simultaneously. In recent years, many clinics have started offering circulation maintenance treatments, with these two treatments often being mentioned together, emphasizing "improved blood circulation and enhanced microcirculation." I booked a full trial treatment this time, and below I'll share the process and my experience.

Today I visited a clinic in Taipei's Da'an District specializing in "preventive medicine" maintenance treatments.

Upon entering the clinic, I was warmly greeted by a receptionist. The lobby and corridors were brightly lit, and the treatment rooms were equipped with comfortable massage chairs. While waiting for my treatment, a specialist carefully and thoroughly inquired about my current physical condition and conducted a basic health check, taking my blood pressure, temperature, and weight before starting the treatment.

*What is He-Ne Intravenous Laser?

He-Ne Intravenous Laser is a circulatory maintenance treatment that uses low-energy red light laser light.

The laser wavelength is approximately 632.8nm, and it is commonly said to:

• Improve blood circulation

• Promote capillary flow

• Help red blood cells carry oxygen

• Support metabolism and antioxidant activity

• Help with relaxation

The entire treatment takes approximately 30-60 minutes.

The whole process is actually quite relaxing; you just need to lie down and rest.

Some people report a slight warming sensation, but I personally felt almost nothing.

*What is External Counterpulsation (EECP)?

EECP works by using airbags in the legs to pressurize in rhythm with the heartbeat:

EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation) is a device that uses airbags in the legs to promote blood flow.

Treatment Features:

• Synchronizes with heartbeat

• Promotes blood return

• Supports cardiovascular circulation

The entire treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.

During the treatment, several airbag devices are worn on the legs. The machine presses and relaxes in rhythm with the heartbeat.

The sensation is similar to a strong leg massage, with the airbags squeezing and relaxing segment by segment.

The entire treatment takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

• During heart diastole → Airbags press sequentially

• During heart systole → Airbags relax

This rhythm helps blood circulate back to the heart and the whole body.

Common benefits include:

• Improved blood circulation

• Improved cardiovascular blood flow

• Enhanced microcirculation

EECP Experience

During the treatment, you lie on a treatment bed, and several airbag devices are applied to your legs.

Once the machine is activated, you'll feel your legs being rhythmically compressed and relaxed.

It feels somewhat like:

"Deep Leg Massage + Heartbeat Rhythm"

It might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it in a few minutes.

The entire treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Once the treatment begins, simply relax and rest on the treatment chair or bed.

There are almost no noticeable sensations during the process; some people report a slight warming or relaxing feeling.

Many people will:

• Use their phones

• Listen to music

• Close their eyes and rest

Overall, it feels more like a relaxing, maintenance-type treatment.

My immediate feelings after the treatment:

After the treatment, I felt:

• My body felt more relaxed.

• My hands and feet felt warmer.

• I slept better that night.

Overall, it felt like a cyclical maintenance treatment. The next morning, I felt more energetic than usual.

Of course, everyone's experience is different, and the effects will vary.

How is the treatment usually arranged?

Some clinics recommend a sequential approach, for example:

• Helium-neon intravenous laser: 1-2 times per week

• EECP external counterpulsation: 2-3 times per week

Sometimes, 10-20 sessions are planned as a complete treatment course.

Who is this type of treatment suitable for?

Commonly recommended groups include:

• People who sit for long periods at work

• People who want cyclical maintenance

• People who want to improve their sense of relaxation

Everyone's physical condition is different, and the experience may vary, but for me, it was more like a way to allow my body to "gradually adjust its rhythm."

Sometimes we're always busy with work and life, but rarely stop to ask our bodies about their condition. This treatment experience, for me, was more than just maintenance; it was a time to slowly relax. Perhaps what's truly important isn't just the treatment itself, but the reminder to myself—in my busy life, I must remember to take good care of myself.
